The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Flower Mound, Texas - Blue Ox and NTP/Stag teamed up to hold three OXSMART Training sessions for service technicians and sales teams at the Keystone Training Center in Flower Mound, Texas in mid-December.
"We have taken our OXSMART Training and Education classes on the road," Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann says. "We are so pleased and excited that our training partnership with NTP/Stag is making the educational opportunities we offer more accessible to our dealers and their employees through regional events."
OXSMART technical training graduates receive 13 hours of credit in the RVDA-RVIA Service Technical Certification program. Hands-on technical training sessions were the focus of the first two days with Blue Ox product experts guiding technicians through the installation of multiple products to include: tow vehicle wiring, weight distributing hitches, goosenecks, braking systems, chassis performance products and Blue Ox’s new Super Ride Fifth-Wheel hitch.
“One of our objectives is to work with manufacturers to facilitate technical and sales training for dealer staff at our regional training facilities,” Keystone/NTP-Stag Vice President and General Manager Bill Rogers says. “Regional training makes it easier for our dealers to participate, to interact with and provide feedback to our suppliers. Blue Ox’s OXSMART training is a great example of that happening.”
OXSMART training is also an opportunity for dealer technicians and sales team members to provide valuable insight and feedback on the Blue Ox product line and share ideas for future products.
“This offsite training session is the first of many,” Kietzmann says. “While we will continue to offer OXSMART training twice a year in Nebraska, we are adding regional trainings, in partnership with NTP/Stag, to our schedule throughout the coming year and the years to follow.”
In addition, specific time was also set aside for the sales and service aspect as well. Blue Ox views this as an opportunity to bring a diverse group of
professionals together to learn and share best practices that enhance the knowledge of all participants, according to a press release.
