The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

LINCOLNSHIRE, Illinois - Camping World Holdings, Inc. has announced aggressive plans for expansion in the state of Texas, with the proposed acquisition of the northern Texas RV-Max dealerships, with three locations in the greater Dallas market.
Camping World currently operates seven superCenters in the El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, Lubbock and Tyler areas, and with the acquisition of RV-Max, is further expanding in the Dallas-Fort Worth market with three new SuperCenters.
"It has been a personal concern that our company's presence in the state of Texas has not adequately served our customer base," Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis says. "Moving forward, one of my top priorities is the expansion of our footprint and market share in the great state of Texas, as we aggressively pursue additional acquisitions and locations for new superCenters."
