The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PENDER, Nebraska - Darren Whitlock has joined Blue Ox as an outside sales representative serving customers in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, according to Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann.
Whitlock built his knowledge and experience in sales and partner relationships through the distribution arm of the RV and automotive accessory markets as an outside sales manager and sales consultant.
“Darren’s in-depth experience is in helping dealers grow their business,” Kietzmann says. "Darren’s expertise in helping dealers promote sales, building solid customer relationships and his existing knowledge of the products we manufacture, makes him a great asset to his dealers from his first day on the job.”
In addition to his industry experience, Whitlock holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business in Salt Lake City.
