RVDA of Canada and CCRVC Releases Petition to Fight Tax Policy

Tue Jan 24, 2017

148527855016067.pngThe Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada and the Canadian Camping and RV Council have joined to lobby the Federal Government to address and resolve concerns regarding the tax interpretation/policy changes by Canada Revenue Agency last year which could potentially impact campgrounds that employ less than five full time employees year-round.

CCRVC has received tremendous support from a number of opposition MPs. The following have been empathetic and have met with CCRVC or raised the issue publicly at the House of Commons:

• Dan Albas (Kelowna)
• Blake Richards (Banff-Calgary)
• Ziad Aboultaif (Edmonton)
• Cheryl Gallant (Nipissing)
• Jamie Schmale (Haliburton)

With this in mind, the association has released an online petition, where people can sign to garner further support, according to RVDA President Eleanore Hamm.
