RV News Exclusive: NTP Stag Show Finishes Largest Show in History

Thu Feb 2, 2017

The NTP Stag Show ended Tuesday night with a long, loud and food-filled party.

Dealers and show exhibitors alike packed into the area between the Hilton and Marriott hotels in Anaheim, across from the convention center, where live music set the soundtrack to the event. Food trucks lined up end to end provided the free food, while tables and chairs crowded the pavement and the buzz of another finished show and the prospects of the future in the surging RV industry filled the air.

With more than 200 booths on the 110,000 square-foot show floor and Power Hours served up nearly every hour, the show floor was always full of people, energy and conversation.

NTP Stag Marketing Director John Spaulding said the show was one of the best he'd seen as part of the combined NTP and Stag company. Keystone Automotive General Manager Bill Rogers also echoed that statement and the sentiment was felt throughout the seminars, where no seat was available, the meals, which left no scrap of food in the trays, and on the show floor, where deals were being made even after the show's lights were dimmed.

RV University attracted more than 900 attendees, significantly more than the NTP Stag's seminar program has ever brought in. Spaulding says within a month of this show's closing, he will begin to prepare and plan for the 2018 show, which will be held in Grapevine, Texas at the Gaylord Resort.
