RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

51st Annual Detroit Camper & RV Show Opens Feb. 8

The 51st Annual Detroit Camper & RV Show opens Feb. 8 at the Suburban Collection SHowplace in Novi, Michigan.

The largest show put on annually by the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds features more than 280 RVs and 50 brands displayed, including folding campers, motorhomes, travel trailers, truck campers, fifth wheels, toy haulers and one park model.

More than 30 seminars throughout the four-day show will be held from KING and MORryde.

The show hours will be Wednesday through Friday 2 to 9 p.m; Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Adult admission is $10; senior admission is $9 and children 12 and under are free.
