RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Safe-Guard Canada Hires New National Training Manager

148717490470882.jpgATLANTA - Safe-Guard Canada, Ltd. has announced David Wilke as the new National Training Manager – Canada. In his new role, Wilke will drive retail training for the growing Canadian finance and insurance market

Wilke has more than a decade of experience in the retail automotive industry in both the sales and F&I arenas, and brings a training and development expertise to Safe-Guard Canada that will add momentum to retail training initiatives.

"I am pleased to welcome David to the Safe-Guard team as National Training Manager – Canada," Safe-Guard Canada General Manager Scott Ashby says. "We continue to see growth in the Canadian market and David brings a wealth of retail and F&I experience. His innovative training approach will be vital in providing our clients and their dealers the comprehensive finance and insurance training support required to deliver a first class customer experience."

Most recently, Wilke served as the National Training Manager for LGM Financial Services, Inc., where he developed dealership training programs focused on optimizing the business office and improving customer experience. Prior to that role, he spent six years in the field as a leading Dealer Development Manager.
