Green began his career at Blue Ox in 1971 when the company was solely know as Automatic Equipment, building products for the agricultural industry. After Automatic Equipment began designing and manufacturing recreational towing equipment, Green was instrumental in the transition to the Blue Ox product line. During his tenure, he has held positions in welding, assembly and packaging.

“Over the years, Vic has contributed his heart and soul to the company,” Kiezmann says. "His helping nature, emphasis on cooperation, the sharing of knowledge and his dedication to excellence over the span of his 45-year tenure with Blue Ox has been an inspiration for the entire staff. Although we will miss him, Vic now deserves time for family and personal interests. On behalf of the entire staff, I wish him a happy future.”

“I am going to miss being here everyday,” Green says. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and the great people I have worked with over the years. We have accomplished a lot together and I am proud to have been part of a company that appreciates the contributions and the time I have invested over the span of my career.”

“Blue Ox is honored to have enjoyed Vic’s dedicated service to our family company over the course of three generations," Chairman Mike Hesse says. "His contributions were held in high regard by my grandfather Myron Hesse and my father Jay Hesse. We are sad to see him go but we wish him every happiness in the future.”

In addition to the retirement luncheon attended by the full staff, Green was given a cash award of $4,500 reflecting his years of service.
