RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Newell Coach Celebrating 50 Years with Rally

Newell Coach is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a rally held April 26-30 at the Downstream Casino and resort, just 20 miles north of the Newell Factory in Miami, Oklahoma.

The rally will commence on April 26 with a welcome cocktail party and dinner in the resort's private dining room.

On April 27, those in the rally will depart by charter bus to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, a museum supported by its hometown Walmart and the Walton family. A private lucnh at Crystal Bridges overlooking the lake will be held afterward.

That night, a Billy Bob's Hoedown will be held for a Newell Owner and Employee Appreication Party. All 170 of the Newell employees will be invivted to celebrate the first 50 years with the world's largest honky tonk in the Downstream Pavilion.

On April 28, the attendees will go to the Newell Factory for an interactive tour, where each department will demonstrate a specific process used to build its coaches.

A cornhole tournament with $1,750 in Newell service credit at stake will be held that night.

On April 29, a walk-around open house in the RV park will be held for those who would like to show off their coaches will be followed by a poker tournament with cash prizes.

On April 30, a farewell breakfast will be held at the campground in the Newell tent.

The rally fee is as follows:

Coach and 2 people: $1,750
Coach and 1 person: $825
Each additional person: $725
