RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Weekly Recalls Include REV Group for Possible Fuel Leak

146522869396754.jpgThe REV Recreation Group has recalled 391 of the 2017 Fleetwood Storm and Holiday Rambler Vacationer XE motorhomes and the 2016-17 Holiday Rambler Vacationer motorhomes.

In the affected vehicles, the spring shackle bolt may contact the fuel filler components or the fuel vent tubing causing a hole and potentially resulting in a leak.

REV dealers will inspect the fuel filler tube and fuel vent components and re-route them or install additional components to shield them from contacting the spring shackle bolt, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 31.

Cruiser RV has recalled 34 of the 2016-17 Boss recreational trailers.

The affected vehicles have a vertically-mounted furnace installed such that the exhaust ports may be at the top of the furnace instead of at the bottom.

Cruiser RV dealers will reinstall the furnace so that the exhaust port is at the bottom, free of charge. The recalol is expected to begin March 20.

Airstream, Inc. has recalled 82 of the 2017 Sport, Flying Cloud and International recreational trailers.

The tire placard on the vehicles may be missing the spare tire information.

Airstream dealers will provide a corrected tire placard, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 3.

Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC has recalled three of the 2017 Sundance recreational trailers.

The federal certification label on the vehicles may not have the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating listed on the label.

Heartland will provide owners with a replacement certification label, free of charge. No date for the recall has been set.
