RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV/MH Hall of Fame Induction Dinner Will Be Held Aug. 7

148847081526719.jpgELKHART, Indiana - The RV/MH Hall of Fame's Annual Induction Dinner honoring the Class of 2017 will be held on Aug. 7 at the Hall of Fame's Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart, Indiana, according to RV/MH Hall of Fame President Darryl Searer.

"Our 2017 Induction Dinner celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar cocktail party, followed by the dinner and induction ceremonies at 6:30 p.m.," Searer says. "I hope a record number of friends and colleagues of the inductees and industry members will join us in honoring these outstanding industry pioneers who have had a major impact on our professions and lives."

In addition to the Induction ceremony, the 2017 Golf Classic Fundraiser returns to Christiana Creek Country Club in Elkhart in the morning of Aug. 7. The event kicks off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and then caps off with a luncheon and awards presentation following golf. The price for golf has been reduced from $200 to $150 per player.

Searer also says that the Hall is seeking sponsors for the various Induction Dinner events as well as for the golf tournament.
