The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Skyline Corp. plans to close its manufactured-housing plant in Mansfield this spring if it cannot find a buyer for the facility, which would leave 105 employees without a job, according to a story by the Mansfield Star-Telegram.
Skyline CEO Richard Florea informed workers about the plans Feb. 14, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. If no buyer is found, workers’ jobs are expected to be terminated between March 27 and April 10. Skyline also filed a WARN notice with the Texas Workforce Commission about the planned closure.
The Elkhart, Indiana-based company operates the 80,110-square-foot facility on 10 acres at 606 S. Second Ave. The property is valued at $1.8 million by the Tarrant Appraisal District.
