RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVDA and KPA Host Free Webinar on Workplace Violence

145072686053695.jpgFairfax, Virginia - Each year, about 2 million Americans report having been victims of workplace violence. The risk of assault can be prevented or minimized if employers and employees learn to take appropriate precautions.

Dealers can learn more about the second leading cause of death in the workplace during a free webinar on Thursday, March 16, at noon Eastern time. This educational session will provide an overview of the common forms of workplace violence, high-risk employers and employees, warning signs and other risk factors associated with workplace violence, plus employee and employer responsibilities in preventing and reporting incidents.

Learn how to protect your employees from workplace violence and ensure that the dealership is a safe environment. The webinar will cover the components of a written workplace violence prevention program and discuss policies, procedures, training and safeguards to mitigate the potential for workplace violence.
