RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Alliance Coach Celebrates No. 1 Training Program

Alliance Coach RV Sales and Service is celebrating the news that its in-house service technician training program has proven to be one of the most effective in the industry. Master Certified RVIA/RVDA Service Technician and RVIA/RVDA Training Mentor Ed Cowan strives to ensure that Alliance Coach service technicians get the hands on training and classroom instruction they need to qualify for nationally recognized RVIA/RVDA certifications.

Certification is offered at three levels: Registered Technician, Certified Technician and Master Certified Technician. Alliance Coach is very proud to announce that out of a total of 16 RVIA/RVDA Registered Technicians certified nationwide in 2016, nine of them were certified in its Wildwood, Florida location.

Technician certification includes training and testing on all aspects of RV repair including Electrical Systems, both 110 Volt AC and 12 Volt DC; Generators; Heating Systems; Hydraulics; Propane Systems; Plumbing; Ranges and Cooktops; Refrigerators; Water Heaters; Air Conditioning; Brake, Suspension and Towing Systems; and general knowledge sections on preventative maintenance.

Plans for 2017 include further certification training for technicians at their Wildwood, Florida and Lake Park, Georgia locations. Company owners Alan and Judy Shapiro fully support the training and certification program in order to ensure their service centers help set the industry standard for customer care, according to a press release.
