RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Meyer Distributing Announces Salina, Kansas Location

The cross-dock will have a direct feed from Meyer's Jasper, Indiana distribution hub which houses one of the largest inventories of automotive accessories and RV parts in the country.

“Meyer has seen an influx of exhaust dealers calling us for an alternate supply option in this region,” Meyer Exhaust Sales Manager Collin Gentry says. "We are responding quickly to the calls and increasing our service in the Hutchison and Wichita markets. We are also servicing cities in Central Kansas on a Meyer truck for the first time.”

“We continue to broaden and deepen our inventories to better service exhaust and muffler shops,” Meyer Chief Financial Officer Jeff Braun says. "We have invested heavily in Promaxx exhaust and muffler systems and look forward to bringing these to the market in a bigger way in 2017.”
