The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The registration for the 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo is now open.
The expo will be Nov. 6-10 at Bally's in Las Vegas and an early bird full registration rate is ongoing, which will end June 30. Using the early bird registration rate, RVDA members can get the first dealership member registered for $609,
with each additional member at $589 per person.
The week will include training focused on dealers and fixed-operations managers, leadership development, networking and competing in today's marketplace. With education tracks for dealer/GMs, sales, service, parts, F&I, rental and social media/eMarketing, people will learn about:

-Advanced topics for the service department
-Leadership development for young RV executives
-New concepts for merchandising the store

-Latest ideas in Internet advertising, measuring effectiveness and increasing ROI
-Mini rental school
If a dealership wants some of its members to attend only the Vendor Training +Plus sessions, that will cost $229 and is available only with one paid convention registration from the same dealership.

Related to the registration, the final day to submit workshop proposals for the RVDA Convention is today, March 17. The selection committee is looking for in-the-trenches' training professionals, consultants, dealership professionals, vendors and others who support the RV industry.
