RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lippert Components Hires New Regional Sales Manager

149011135432838.jpgElkhart, Indiana - Lippert Components, Inc. has announced that Mary Ott has been named Regional Sales Manager, Northeast to support LCI’s aftermarket business. Ott comes to LCI with years of RV and marine aftermarket experience, most recently as Manufacturer Sales Consultant for industry agency, RV Lifestyle.

“We are excited to have Mary on our team," LCI Managing Director of Aftermarket Sales Stephan Lussier says. "Her industry experience and customer relationships in the Northeast will be a valuable asset to our aftermarket sales initiatives. Mary’s territory will cover the New England region, New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our mission at LCI is to create great customer and employee relationships at all levels and Mary will fulfill this need in the Northeast.”

Ott has more than 15 years of previous RV industry experience. She has the ability to create long lasting customer relationships with honesty and integrity, according to a press release. Her work experience as Store Manager at Camping World and at manufacturing representative levels has given her a full understanding of the RV aftermarket, its customers and its suppliers.

“The excitement and enthusiasm of the entire LCI team was a major factor in my decision to join the LCI family,” Ott says. "I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in so many facets of the RV aftermarket. Ott will be taking over for John Gross, who has transitioned to a different industry opportunity.
