Rear View Safety has debuted its new RVS-155W – the 5-inch Wireless Backup Camera System at the 2017 NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis in March.
The digital wireless backup camera system has a guaranteed transmission of 100 feet even at highway speeds, according to Rear View Safety Content Strategist Manager Tyler Waugh.
“We’re very proud of our new wireless system,” Waugh says. “It’s the next step in wireless technology.”
The monitor has a waterproof backup camera with infrared night vision and includes instant pair technology – the ability to pair the system without leaving the cab of the vehicle.
It features 18 infrared lights and is hooked up to the vehicle through the cigarette lighter plug. Waugh says the response in the month since the show has been positive and that the product is being marketed to both aftermarket and OE manufacturers.
“It was very, very positive,” Waugh says. “It was nice to display it and show it off and it was tested a whole bunch by a lot of people. It’s been a very positive response for it. We’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year and this powerful wireless system is a nice product to get in there and showcase that we’ve been around the block for a while now.”
