RVC Outdoor Destinations Redefining Camping Experience

Wed Apr 12, 2017

RVC Outdoor Destinations, a Memphis, Tennessee-based provider of upscale outdoor vacation experiences that owns and operates properties across nine states, is redefining camping for those who wish to experience all the great outdoors has to offer. Whether customers are looking to "rough it" or enjoy accommodations that rival upscale hotels, RVC offers something for everyone.

When RVC says it's "redefining camping," what it means is that it has created outdoor camping environments that cater to the needs and desires of individual campers.

The outdoors haven’t changed much over the years, but people's needs and desires have. These days, not everyone wants the full primitive experience, even if they want to "get away from it all" for a bit. That's why RVC has married gorgeous natural environments with extraordinary hospitality experiences. That's the big idea behind RVC Outdoor Destinations: letting the camper define camping for himself or herself.

"We looked at what many consider to be the perfect vacation," RVC Outdoor Destinations President Andy Cates says. "What most people wanted was to spend time with people they cared about in an environment that allowed them to retreat, relax and recharge. At RVC we believe this idea of a perfect vacation can all begin with a place, which is why we offer a combination of camping and service culture. No one else in the country is doing what we're doing."

So, what makes RVC Outdoor Destinations different? To start with, the company offers a range of lodging options for its visitors. It has fully furnished, climate-controlled yurts, cottages and RV sites with full hookups and 20/30/50-amp service and its waterfront properties feature docks for boats. In addition to the lodging options, it also offers a wide range of activities for the entire family to enjoy; including, hiking trails, fishing, horseshoe courts, fire pits, play areas for children and even "bark parks" for pets.

As for the amenities, guests have access to fitness centers on-site, saline swimming pools and concierges who can tell guests what they might like to do or eat that's nearby. Need to take a few minutes every day to keep in touch with the "real world"? RVC also has free WiFi and expanded cable TV. It offers meeting rooms for businesses who want to do a retreat or for those guests who might like to do a "destination wedding" closer to home on one of the beautiful properties.

"RVC properties cater to individuals, couples, groups and families, be they solo vacationers or whole family reunions," Cates says. "We offer an incredible experience that's custom tailored to everyone's individual needs. Our vision is to set an upscale hotel experience in a gorgeous natural environment, with all the amenities you'd expect, to create the perfect outdoor vacation."
