The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Billings, Montana - Customer Appreciation Day is a way to show thanks to the Billings community for hosting the Bretz RV & Marine dealership for more than 10 years. It has since become an annual tradition with a growing attendance of more than 1,500 people.
This event has featured a number of activities for the entire family, including a free steak and chicken dinner, an RV Lifestyle expo, informative seminars, a $1,000 money machine and various prize giveaways. In addition to giving away iPad Air 2s, a flat screen TV and a Green Mountain Grill, Bretz RV & Marine is offering the chance to win a custom-wrapped R Pod 171 Travel Trailer, with drawing to be held on May 6. Additionally, the Bid To Buy program offers a unique opportunity for customers to name their own price on their next RV or boat purchase. It’s as simple as filling out a bid sheet, turning it in and waiting for your price to be reviewed.
While this is the first Customer Appreciation Day held at the new dealership, Bretz RV & Marine has carried on the annual tradition for more than 20 years. Mark Bretz, the owner of Bretz RV & Marine recollects the first years that Customer Appreciation Day took place.
“I remember when we had our first Customer Appreciation Day. My parents decided to close the shop for the weekend and take all of our customers for an outing to Camp Utmost," he says. "We spent the weekend camping, eating and learning more about the RV lifestyle with all of our customers. The event was such a hit that we continued to do it every year. Over time the event became so popular that the campground became too small to accommodate everyone. We then decided to move the event to the store premise, and shorten the event to a single day. That is when the event grew to what it is today.”
As a family-owned dealership, Bretz RV & Marine set a priority to make its Customer Appreciation Day as accessible and inclusive as possible. It will be offering ADA/Mobility Impaired Parking and golf cart drivers to transport guests to and from their vehicles in the parking lot.
The seminars have always been one of the top highlights of the event, with knowledgeable experts in outdoor lifestyle offering valuable insight on their areas of expertise.
Join fishing guru Pat Slater at 10 a.m. as he discusses Walleyes on Cranks the easy way. Or, catch Pat at 12 p.m. to learn about Tips and Tricks for Live Bait Presentations. At 1:30 p.m., a representative from Green Mountain Grills Eric McFadyen will give an introduction to pellet grilling.
