The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Park model RV shipments increased 11.7 percent in March 2017, according to a report by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.
There were 401 park model shipments in March, compared with 359 in March 2016.
Additionally, the park model shipments have increased every month so far in 2017. The total in 2017 is 1,033 shipments, up 10 percent from 2016.
California received the most shipments of park models in March, with 64 shipments, or 16.04 percent of the total shipments. The other four of the top five were Texas (46), Arizona (33), Wisconsin (27) and Pennsylvania (23).
