RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Blue Ox Hires New Outside Sales Rep

149365135963175.jpgPENDER, Nebraska - Kevin Whelchel has joined Blue Ox as an Outside Sales Representative serving dealers in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, according to Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann.

Whelchel’s prior experience is in dealer sales as a parts associate and registered salesperson of RV parts, motorhomes and trailers at dealerships in Virginia.

“Kevin’s in-depth sales experience at two large RV dealerships, and his understanding of our products, will be a true advantage in helping our dealers expand their sales,” Kietzmann says. "I am really excited that Kevin is such an advocate of our chassis performance products, his enthusiasm will be of great benefit to our dealers in helping their customers understand how our products will enhance their RV driving experience. Kevin’s enthusiastic and team-oriented approach to helping grow sales is infectious.”
