Pulliam Enterprises Seeking Tax Break for New 20,000 SF Facility

Mon May 1, 2017

MISHAWAKA, Indiana — The St. Joseph County Council will soon consider approving a tax break for a manufacturer of trailer hitches that plans to invest $2.5 million to expand its facility and create five jobs.

During a May 9 public hearing, council members will consider approving a six-year real property tax abatement to support the project proposed by Pulliam Enterprises, based on East Jefferson Boulevard in the Twin Branch Industrial Park near Mishawaka, according to a story by the South Bend Tribune. The proposal would save the company a total of about $192,000 in property taxes.

The 85-employee company, which has outgrown its existing 25,000-square-foot facility, plans to build a 20,000-square-foot addition for manufacturing and a 14,000-square-foot addition for research and development.
