RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor's Bob Martin Wins United Way of Elkhart Volunteer of the Year

147809880849304.jpgELKHART, Indiana — As United Way supporters gathered Thursday to celebrate local leaders and volunteers, two men were recognized for their efforts in going above and beyond to make Elkhart County a better place to live, work and play.

“Great things are happening and countless lives are changed and improved,” United Way President and CEO Bill Rieth said. “For 95 years, United Way of Elkhart County has been fighting for the health, education and financial stability of every person in this community. The celebration highlights the great things that happen when the community lives united.”

This year marks the fifth annual Live United celebration of United Way of Elkhart County. Honorees and supporters gathered for a celebration Thursday at The Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, according to a story by the Goshen News.

During the event, Elkhart resident Bob Martin, president and CEO of Thor Industries, Inc., was presented the Arthur J. Decio Volunteer of the Year award.
