Tire-Minder Sends Message to Price Matchers with Halt Shipment Request

Tue May 9, 2017

TireMinder has sent a "Do Not Ship" request to all of its distributors to halt shipments to both Amazon.com, Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to plead for its Price Matching Feedback Loop to be corrected.

"Here at TireMinder, we strive to create an equal playing field for both goliath retailers like Wal-Mart to David-esque 'Mom and Pop' retail stores," Marketing Manager Michael Pescitelli says. "To do this, we employ a Minimum Advertised Pricing Policy (MAPP.) It has come to our attention that Amazon and Wal-Mart have recently gone into a Price Matching Feedback Loop, which continues to dwindle the price of our TireMinder systems. While this is great for new/would-be TireMinder customers, some of our products are currently being sold at prices even our distributors couldn't compete with.

"Competition is healthy, this is true. However, selling at a significant loss to block competitor sales is not, in our opinion, morally right. We will continue to request that our distributors respectfully hold all shipments until this pricing issue is corrected."

Until then, TireMinder TPMS can still be purchased online or through reputable RV dealers and retailers throughout North America.
