RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Dometic Wins Two Awards at National Hardware Show

50 Campfires Magazine awarded Dometic with the “Essentials Award.” This award was given to Dometic based on its smart solutions and reliable products with an outstanding design. Dometic’s Mobile Cooling Line of CFX Portable Refrigerator/Freezers was the main feature of the show and captured the attention of many outdoor retailers.

The CFX is essential for outdoor entertainment and convenience. A key benefit of the Dometc CFX Portable Refrigerator/Freezer is unlike an ordinary cooler, there is no need for ice. The product is able to achieve and maintain a temperature of -8 degrees.

“Our team walks the entire tailgating and outdoor area in search of innovative and well-built products that will resonate well with our readers and the Dometic CFX is just that,” 50 Campfires Director Nick Grzechowiak says.

That wasn’t the only award Dometic received at the National Hardware Show. Tailgater Magazine awarded Dometic with “Best Tailgate Concept Booth.” Dometic’s outdoor booth offered cornhole, a life size Jenga tournament and celebrity chef Kevin Roberts. Between the food, the fun and the sun, Dometic’s outdoor booth replicated a tailgate party and the award was a team effort, according to the press release.
