RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lippert Components Hiring at Indiana Job Fairs

Lippert Components will interview applicants at upcoming job fairs in Gary, Indiana.

Lippert Components, a supplier to the RV, manufactured housing and marine industries, will meet with jobs seekers at 10 a.m. May 23 at the City of Gary Job Fair at the Bethel Church/City Life Center, 225 W. 5th Ave.

Lippert is looking to fill 75 to 100 open positions, which are a three-hour round trip commute away. The company is looking into planning transportation for jobs that pay $10 to $20 an hour and include benefits, including medical and a 401k, according to a story by the NWI Times.
