RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lippert Components Hires New Regional Sales Manager

149494678281230.jpgElkhart, Indiana - Lippert Components, Inc. has announced that James Stringer has been named Regional Sales Manager, West Central Territory to support LCI’s aftermarket business. Stringer comes to LCI with years of RV and outdoor power equipment aftermarket experience, most previously as Territory Sales Representative for Black & Decker, Meyer Distributing and Coast Distribution.

“We are excited to have James on our team," LCI Managing Director of Aftermarket Sales Stephan Lussier says. "His industry experience and customer relationships in the Rocky Mountain states will be a valuable asset to our aftermarket sales initiatives. Our mission at LCI is to create great customer and employee relationships at all levels, and James will fulfill this need in the west central region of the United States."

In his position, Stringer will cover Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and New Mexico.

"Coupling that with the company’s desire to be the best in manufacturing, aftermarket products, training and customer service makes me extremely excited about the direction in which LCI is going.”

James will be replacing Scott Laidlaw. Laidlaw now services California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada in his Regional Sales Manager position.
