RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Truma Hires New Senior Technical Sales Rep

149494847725958.jpgELKHART, Indiana - Truma has announced that Steve Bayne has joined its North American team as Senior Technical Sales Representative to support Truma’s growing network of manufacturers and dealers.

Bayne worked previously with the heating leader in the trucking industry, and has a background in the Marine and RV markets. He recognizes and enjoys working with quality products, which is what attracted him to Truma, according to a press release.

“We are pleased to have Steve Bayne join Truma as we continue to see more end users specifically requesting and buying vehicles equipped with Truma AquaGo and Truma Combi products,” Truma President and CEO Gerhard Hundsberger says. “Steve will primarily focus on customers at the OEM and dealer levels as well as support our continuing efforts to educate RV techs around the country about Truma products.”

Bayne was born in Seattle and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. He has served in the U.S. Naval Reserve while studying engineering.
