ELKHART, Indiana - The chief marketing officer of a global manufacturer says its new U.S. headquarters in Elkhart will serve as the "central hub for innovation" of its wide array of manufactured products geared toward high-end consumers.
During a Thursday unveiling event, Matt Fidler said the 35,000 square-foot facility would be Furrion's "gateway of technology to the U.S. recreational vehicle, home, yacht and business industries," according to a story by Inside Indiana Business. The company has its headquarters in China, as well as a presence in Europe, Australia and the U.S.
Furrion manufactures and markets luxury items ranging from kitchen appliances to fireplaces, "smart" bathroom technology to home entertainment equipment like televisions, electronic components to solar power gear, and even its newest endeavor -- the "Prosthesis" exo-bionic mech racing suit. The company debuted the suit in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and said training for mech "pilots" and research and development for new versions of the technology will all be housed in Elkhart.
