RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Park Model Shipments Increase 8.7 Percent in April

145072659275994.jpgThe RVIA Park Model shipments increased 8.7 percent in April compared to the same month of last year.

This year's shipments totaled 423, compared to 389 last year. The increase is the fourth consecutive month with an increase in park model shipments this year, as the year-over-year increase has totaled 9.6 percent greater than last year.

The destinations show that the majority of the shipments have gone to the South Atlantic (18.66 percent), Pacific (17.94 percent), Mountain (14.35 percent) and East North Central (13.4 percent) regions of the United States.

Concerning states, California is the shipment leader, with 12.44 percent, or 52 models being shipped out west. Texas is second, with 9.57 percent (40) and Arizona coming in third with 6.22 percent (26).
