RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Keystone Recalls 288 RVS for Fuel Line and Outrigger Issues

146522869396754.jpgKeystone RV Company has recalled 249 of the 2017-18 Dutchmen Voltage trailers equipped with the Onan 5.5 generator option.

The fuel line may have been clamped incorrectly to the generator, according to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Keystone dealers will properly clamp the fuel line to the generator, free of charge. The recall will begin May 30.

Keystone also has recalled 39 of the 2017-18 Raptor fifth wheel recreational trailers, model 428SP.

The affected trailers have tires that may contact the outriggers.

Keystone dealers will cut a notch in the bottom side of the outriggers located above the tires on the door side of the unit, free of charge. The recall began on May 18.

Forest River, Inc. has recalled nine of the 2018 Palomino recreational trailers, model PAT251RBSS.

The federal placard does not list the correct tire size, tire pressure and rim size information of ST205/75R14C tires requiring 50 PSI and a rim size of 14X5.5JJ.

Forest River will notify owners and provide a corrected federal placard, free of charge. The recall will begin July 11.
