Elkhart, Indiana - Forest River, Inc., has announced the hiring of industry veteran, Kris Craven, as National Sales Manager for the all-new Impression fifth wheel.
For nearly 20 years, with oversight of both sales and service, Craven played a key role in the family-owned RV dealership, Rollin-On RV’s. The dealership, located in Schererville, Indiana, was started by Kris’ father, Paul Craven, in 1972 and was sold in 2011. After the sale, Craven became involved in the manufacturing side of the RV industry where he’s enjoyed a successful sales career with some of North America’s best known brands.
“Working at the family business was a wonderful and educational experience,” Craven says. "Interacting with customers face-to-face to help them find their perfect RV gives me a unique perspective on the wants and needs of today’s retail consumer. Then, working with our service department provided additional insight on inherent design problems with many of the products being sold out there. I’m confident my team can draw upon this experience to create a fifth wheel that will maximize customer satisfaction before and after the sale.”
Set to begin production in August 2017, the aggressively-priced Impression will target the mid-profile fifth wheel buyer and have a starting MSRP of $33,000. With lengths ranging from 29 to 36 feet and weights starting at 8,000 pounds, the Impression fifth wheel will be compatible with most medium-duty tow vehicles.
“Impression will focus on having great floorplans with high-impact features that will be easy to sell,” Craven says. "We’ve also worked extremely hard to develop an interior decor that is reflective of today’s most popular residential trends. We are very excited to bring this ground-breaking new product to market this summer.”
