The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Denver - Danny “Chocolate” Myers, NASCAR legend, curator of the Richard Childress Racing Museum and host and analyst of the popular Sirius/XM NASCAR radio Channel 90 show, “Tradin’ Paint,” will be the opening keynote speaker at the 2017 arvc Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo.
The conference, which is the premier event of the RV park and campground industry, will take place on Nov. 7-10 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Myers will speak on “Building Teams in the Good Times and Bad” in his Tuesday morning presentation.
“We are very excited about this year’s opening keynote speaker,” arvc Senior Director of Education Barb Youmans says. "Chocolate will share his experiences being on the Dale Earnhardt Sr. pit crew and how important it is for teams to stick together through the good times and the bad, and how doing this makes a team stronger.”
