Keystone Launches Colt Travel Trailer by Bullet Ultra Lite

Thu Jun 8, 2017

149686592541652.jpgGoshen, Indiana - Keystone RV Company’s popular Bullet Ultra Lite brand has launched the Colt, a luxury lightweight travel trailer that can be towed by smaller cars, SUVs and trucks.

“We designed the Colt to satisfy the growing demand for easy-to-tow RVs that offer a full complement of features at a popular price," Bullet Product Manager Nick Sweazy says. "Our goal was to create a product that both the first time camper and experienced RVer would be comfortable towing, while delivering a level of comfort and extras seemingly impossible in a camper this size. This product provides our dealers with an additional offering in the Bullet-Premier line of ultra lites.”

Weighing around 3,000 pounds and 6 1/2 feet wide, Colt is both visually pleasing and from a towability standpoint unintimidating. The metallic gray and blue exterior is clean and exciting. At around 20 feet in length, the Colt can be towed by many vehicles, often without the use of mirror extenders.

Two Colt floorplans are available at this time with more to come later this summer. All feature a fully equipped kitchen with flush-mounted covered range, convection microwave and gas/electric refrigerator; the bath includes shower with full surround, rv/marine toilet and vanity sink; U-shape dinette in the slide-out converts to a bed and the queen bed features a tinted window at the front of the coach. A 24-inch TV and roof-mounted A/C are also available on the Colt.

Outdoor speakers, Thule awning with optional QuickFit Tent Room, outdoor shower, rear hitch receiver for bicycle or sports rack, L.P. quick connect, solar-panel charging port and power tongue jack round out the exterior highlights.

“In addition to first time RV buyers, this new RV will appeal to campers seeking adventure in out of the way places due to the Colt’s smaller, more maneuverable size," Sweazy says. "Another group of potential owners are existing RVers who find Colt’s perfect simplicity a welcome change.”
