RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Announces Board of Directors Candidates for August Elections

145072659275994.jpgRVIA has announced the candidates for the Board of Directors elections taking place in August.

The five candidates for the three Manufacturer seats in contention this year are Mike Happe, Winnebago; Kevin McArt, Forest River; Brett Randall, Columbia Northwest/Aliner; Mike Rhodes, Pacific Coachworks; and Dan Shea, Gulfstream.

There is one Supplier seat open. The three candidates are Joe Bernstein, Ultrafabrics; Gerhard Hunsberger, Truma Corp; and Dave Schutz, Dometic.

The four candidates vying for two At-Large seats are Antonio Gonzales, Taxa Outdoors; John Haymond, Medallion Bank; Scott Mereness, Lippert Components; and Jeff Rutherford, Airxcel.

John Soard, Woodland Park and Curt Yoder, Kroft Industries, are running for the one Park Model RV seat.

The elections will take place online in August. Those elected to serve on the RVIA Board of Directors will begin their three-year terms on Oct. 1.
