Fairfax, Virginia - Today’s workforce is undergoing a major change. Baby boomers are beginning to retire, meaning that Generation X and Millennials will make up most of the workforce. The young adults entering the workforce today come in with a different set of skills, culture and attitude. These generations will ultimately be responsible for production in this world, so how can we get them to buy into safety? Job safety can also be a big factor for young adults who are looking at job positions. They are prepared to challenge and introduce new ideas.
In addition, some people in the workforce do not have the opportunity to retire as early as prior generations. With age comes additional safety considerations, and senior employees can be more susceptible to serious injuries.
Join KPA Thursday, June 22 from 2-3 p.m. EDT for this dealer webinar. Is your organization’s safety culture ready to embrace a new generation?
Key items of discussion:
•The differences between generations
•The different work habits of each generation
•The different learning styles when it comes to training
•How to re-evaluate your personal protection equipment
•How to embrace technology: social media/phones
•How to provide opportunities and embrace safety between generations
