New Paris, Indiana - The sale of specialty vehicle manufacturer Turtle Top to Forest River, Inc. will be a "win-win" situation for both companies, according to an executive.
"This was not a fire sale or getting out," Turtle Top Vice President Rob Cripe says, according to a story by The Goshen News. "This was an opportunity that came up that had a whole lot of synergy situation attached to it and was a win-win situation."
The Cripe family has owned Turtle Top since its inception in 1962. The company was a division of independent Protection Co., Inc. in Goshen. Independent Protection will continue to be owned by the family, according to Cripe. That company manufactures lightning-protection systems.
