RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Hosting Drop In Lithium Ion Battery Installation Webinar

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association will present a webinar on “Drop In” Lithium Ion Battery installations on July 25 at 2 p.m. EDST from industry experts Denis Phares and Sean Nichols, co-founders of Dragonfly Energy. The webinar is designed to last between 30–45 minutes; perhaps longer depending on the questions that are raised.

Lithium Ion batteries are a newer form of energy storage. They are beginning to take a more mainstream position in the energy storage role over traditional lead acid batteries in the industry. There are significant differences between the traditional technology and the new Lithium Ion technology that should be understood before replacing lead acid batteries. While Lithium Ion batteries serve as an electrical low-voltage source, that is about the limit of similarities between Lithium Ion and lead acid batteries.
