RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Wait Industries Acquires Elkhart, Indiana Supplier of RV Components

Granger, Indiana-based investment company Wait Industries LLC has acquired M-3 & Associates, Inc. - an Elkhart RV supplier. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed, but Wait Industries says M-3 & Associates Inc. will continue operating under its current brand. It will also remain headquartered in Elkhart and the 16 current employees will retain their jobs, according to a story by Inside Indiana Business.

M-3 & Associates supplies the enclosed trailer and recreational vehicle industries with products including trailer ramp spring assist lift systems, as well as under-the-floor storage boxes, bar locks, cam locks, light box assemblies, galvanized heating and cooling components, bunk bed ladders, stake pockets, microwave brackets, bases for sliding cabinets, battery trays and enclosures for liquefied petroleum gas tanks and generator compartments.
