RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Airstream Announces 2018 Product Updates

149970036047527.jpgAistream has announced the new 2018 travel trailer and touring coach lines. The following are a few of the new features for the new models. To read more about each of the models, click on the link below.

2018 Interstate

The Interstate seats up to nine while still offering elegant decor, the model is designed to prove that utility never cancels out luxury. Features include:

-New LP tankless hot water heater
-Multiplex electrical system with touchpad controls
-Rooftop solar grows to 300 watts standard.

2018 Sport

The lightweight, nimble travel trailer has had a few upgrades made to it to try to make it even better. Features include:

-New shutoff at shower head for water conservation
-Removable shower head now mounted on the wall
-Aluminum added to the bottom of the galley overhead cabinet

2018 Flying Cloud

Features of the new Flying Cloud include:

-Color-coordinated Ultraleather Dwell bunk rail (19CB bunk, 23CB bunk, 30FB bunk)
-Combined inverter outlets eliminate the need for secondary outlet
-Upgraded electrical system including a multi-stage converter and an improved battery disconnect feature

2018 International

The International is Airstream's salute to a sleek, modern design. A few improvements on the features include:

-Power awning option now available on the 23CB and 23FB as well as the larger models
-New duvet cover on all floorplans (including twin beds)
-Combined inverter outlets eliminate the need for the secondary outlet

2018 Classic

Even the Classic Airstream model can be improved. The new features include:

-Continuous hot water feature with the addition of Alde flow
-Updated multiplex featuring complete control over A/C and heating systems
New larger, color touchscreen multiplex control pad

2018 Tommy Bahama 19CB

The new Tommy Bahama is designed to be a sandcastle on wheels and it delivers an elegant, free-spirited relaxation in a compact, easy-to-tow model. Features include:

-Built-in wine holder on the side of the galley cabinet
-New bi-fold bathroom door for greater accessibility and space.
-Improved bedroom design for better use and function of the TV
-Tommy Bahama accessory kit
-Custom front wraps and screen door

2018 Basecamp

The 2018 improvements on this small model include:

-Upgraded electrical system including a multi-stage converter and an improved battery disconnect feature
-Increased ground clearance and departure angle
-Updated screen color from dark gray to black
