In a letter sent out to all of its dealers, Newmar Corporation announced that it will not host a product display during the upcoming Elkhart County Open House Week Sept. 19-21.
“Although we do have a select number of production slots being held open for retail sold orders, delivery times for any new dealer stock orders are out to anywhere from late January to mid-April depending on the Newmar brand,” Newmar Vice President of Sales and Marketing John Sammut says “Given this backlog of orders, and the extended delivery times for our products, Newmar has made the decision to not host a display during the upcoming Elkhart County Open House at our usual location at Ramco Engineering along County Road 6.”
Newmar stated in the letter that it had recently raised production to 45 motorhomes each week. It also said that plans to increase production beyond 45 each week were being considered but this would only occur when its manufacturing team could guaranty maintaining the quality for which it is known.
The manufacturer located in Nappanee, Indiana thanked its dealers for their business and support toward its recently introduced 2018 products. It also asked that any visitors to the Elkhart County Open House that wish to see any of the 2018 Newmar products being built, should feel free to contact their Newmar Account Manager or Jay Kinney, Newmar’s Director or Sales, to set an appointment to visit the company in Nappanee during that week in September.
