Both associations provided support for those that have been affected by the Wildfires in British Columbia by making a $5,000 donation each to the Canadian Red Cross to aid in relief and support efforts.

Furthermore, partners such as the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association, the RVDA of Alberta, TD Bank, the Wheaton Family Foundation, as well as numerous dealers, suppliers and manufacturers have all donated to the Canadian Red Cross for the relief efforts. While dealers in the affected areas have generously donated RVs for housing at local Firehalls, others have made generous monetary contributions.

To date, more than $93,000 has been donated.

“Our community includes all Canadians and as such, we found it important to assist those that are in dire need due to the fires,” RVDA of Canada Chairman Sam Parks says. "So many have lost everything and could be displaced for numerous months. We want to ensure that those affected receive the means to be able to rebuild and move forward”.

“We are providing support to the towns and communities affected by ensuring that our dealership’s RVs and resources are being used by those in need,” RVDA of British Columbia President Jason Bell of Chemo RV says. "We will continue to provide as much assistance as we can so that families will be able to return to their homes as soon as possible”.

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada is a national, volunteer federation of provincial and regional RVDA associations and their members who have united to form a professional trade association for all businesses involved in the recreation vehicle industry.
