Lazydays To Provide RV Transportation for Anti-Bullying Tour

Tue Jul 25, 2017

146176642957276.pngTAMPA, Fla. - The anti-bullying, non-profit organization Jaylens Challenge Foundation, Inc. is preparing to embark on its Back to School West Coast National Tour in an effort to educate and create awareness. The Jaylens Challenge Foundation National Back to School Tour (a nationwide school and public awareness initiative presented by Lazydays RV and Debartolo Family Foundation) will launch its five-state excursion from the foundation’s home base in Tampa, Florida.

The official “send-off” will be on Thursday, July 27. The two week National Back to School Tour will travel across the country (with RV transportation provided by Lazydays RV) to share its message with students through churches, civic clubs, summer camp youth assemblies and media. The first bus route will make scheduled stops in Alabama, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and conclude in Anaheim, California. Dedicated to promoting awareness and prevention of bullying through education and community service year-round, Jaylens Challenge Foundation will shine a spotlight on the power to inspire one child-at-a-time, during its countrywide trek.

“Jaylens Challenge and its mission has been met with overwhelming support and the Back to School BusTour has been organized ‘by request’ to meet the demand for education and support surrounding an ever-growing social epidemic,” Jaylens Challenge Foundation Executive Director Robin Arnold Eckelberger says. "We’re hitting home, and in the heart, where understanding begins…with our children.”

The Jaylens Challenge non-profit organization is inspired by its founder and official spokesperson Jaylen Arnold, the teenager with a passionate dream and personal goal to end harassment in our schools and encourage others to find their passion. A victim of bullying as a result of his challenging battle with Tourette’s Syndrome and Asperger’s Syndrome, young Jaylen approached his mother, as an eight-year old with an idea to stop the growing epidemic pandemic behavior for all children (with or without disabilities). In just eight short years, Jaylen has been successful in achieving his goal; Jaylens Challenge has garnered the widespread attention of national media (including The Royal Family, Nickelodeon, CNN, Discovery Health, FOX, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, The Ellen Show, Katie Couric, World of Children, People Magazine) and the support of screen actor Dash Mihok (who was diagnosed with Tourette's at the age of 6), in his noble cause and educational presentations.

"We at Lazydays RV are delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor Jaylens Challenge in its national tour,” Lazydays Chief Marketing Officer John Lebbad says. "Lazydays RV has always taken an active interest in issues that impact the children and young adults in our community; the Lazydays RV Employee Foundation has sponsored and supported, with employee dollars and time, several important initiatives that give hope to those young people who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Working with the good people of Jaylens Challenge to bring awareness is a natural fit for us. We wish them well and will be following their progress as they RV across America."

Originating in Tampa, Florida, the 2017 National Back to School Tour will make a special stop in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, July 30. The Phoenix Children’s Hospital (Phoenix), The University of Arizona College of Medicine and National Tourette Association Arizona Chapter will host the Jaylens Challenge Back to School Anti-Bully Rally featuring appearances by Miss Arizona Country Music Artist, Jennifer Smestad, and more who have committed to lend their time and talent to provide entertainment and mutual support during this fun-filled event.

"Each city offers us the opportunity to promote, inspire and educate students and the general public to stand up and make a difference in the lives of others," Eckelberger says. "We anticipate we will make an impression on more than 15,000 individuals over the course of the two-week tour. We’ve been invited by many associations, churches and schools in various cities across the country from coast to coast and we are hopeful our message will illuminate.
