RV Tire and Wheel Manufacturer to Expand into Elkhart

Thu Jul 27, 2017

GOSHEN, Ind. – A rezoning approved Tuesday will allow Lionshead Specialty Tire and Wheel to expand its Goshen headquarters.

City Council approved rezoning 2.36 acres along Olive Street from residential to industrial so Lionshead could use the land at the west edge of its property. Gary Graham, co-owner of the RV tire and wheel maker, said the expansion is needed to keep up with growth in the RV industry, according to a story by The Elkhart Truth.

He said this is the company's 10th year of ownership, which has five smaller locations throughout the country, and that the expansion of the corporate office will give them a space for analysts, accountants, sales managers and other company leaders. He declined to comment on the value of the investment or the number of new hires, but noted that they invested $9 million in manufacturing last year, which included $3 million for a custom automated line, and said their starting wages have increased to $15.50 an hour.
