RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Italian RV Industry Leader Passes Away at 57

150162358266780.jpgRoberto Kerkoc, 57, the CEO of Tecnoform, who also held several positions in Confindustria in Italy and its subsidiaries in recent years, passed away of an illness.

"His friendliness, his smile and his passion of an entrepreneur who believed in the commitment to the development of its territory: this is the legacy that Roberto Kerkoc leaves behind," Blogna, Italy President of the Chamber of Commerce Giorgio Tabellini says. "The Council of the Chamber of Commerce and the Secretary General cling to the family and its enterprise in this sudden void."

The RVIA also released a statement, mourning Kerkoc's passing.

“RVIA mourns the passing of our dear friend Roberto Kerkoc, chief executive officer of Tecnoform, an Italian-based supplier of furniture and wood products to the RV industry," RVIA President Frank Hugelmeyer says. "In addition to his inspiring work at Tecnoform, he was a gregarious ambassador for our industry, promoting RV travel and camping globally, as well as a dedicated member, enthusiastically giving his time and support to RVIA. We greatly appreciate his contributions to the RV industry and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
