RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVDA of Alberta Co-Founder Passes Away at 79

150168714698508.jpgRVDA of Alberta Co-Founder and longtime Canadian RV dealer James Bottomley, passed away on July 28 at the age of 79, to cancer.

In addition to co-founding the RVDA of Alberta, Bottomley owned and operated Majestic RV World and Majestic Towing in Alberta.

Bottomley is survived by his wife Denise; his mother Inez; son Neil; daughters Lori (David), Deanna (JT); their mother Marj; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Alec; daughter Jamie and grandson Kyle.

In memory of Bottomley, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society c/o Prostate Cancer.

A celebration of Life will be held at McINnis & Holloway on Thursday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m.
