RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Portland Fall RV & Van Show Held Sept. 14-17

The Portland Fall RV & Van Show will run from Sept. 14-17 at the Portland Expo Center in Portland, Oregon.

The show is in its 33rd year and will showcase three distinctive and creative Oregon companies that are unveiling some of the most innovative and fun travel trailers that can be seen.

Dozens of other manufacturers, dealers and product offerings, including type A, B and C motorhomes, fifth wheels, campers, tent trailers, sport utility trailers, vans, tow vehicles, accessories and more.

Show hours will begin Thursday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will be the same hours on Friday. Saturday will go from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday will begin at 10 a.m. and the show will close at 6 p.m.

The price for the show is $10 for general admission, while children 12 and under get in free.
