RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Announces Board Member Election Results

145072659275994.jpgVoting for the new board members of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association closed on Aug. 31 and the results are in. The new board members are set to begin their three-year terms on Oct. 1.

The election winners are:

Manufacturer Representatives -- Mike Happe, President and Chief Executive Officer, Winnebago Industries; Kevin McArt, General Manager, Forest River, Inc.; Mike Rhodes, President and Co-Owner, Pacific Coachworks

PMRV Representative -- Curt Yoder, Vice President and Co-Owner, Kropf Industries

Supplier Representative – Dave Schutz, Senior Vice President, RV OEM Sales, Dometic Corp

At-Large Representatives -- Scott Mereness, President, Lippert Components, Inc.; Jeff Rutherford, President and Chief Executive Officer, Airxcel, Inc.

The RVIA Board of Directors has the highest level of authority in the association’s organizational structure and is responsible for association matters on a broad policy basis. The elections took place from Aug. 1 – 31 with official representatives from member companies casting their votes electronically through an online ballot.
