RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Forest River and REV Group Issue Recalls

146522869396754.jpgForest River, Inc. has recalled 88 of the 2017-18 Prime Time Wildcat fifth wheel recreational trailers.

The water heater may have been installed too close to the underside of the slideroom, possibly allowing carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle.

Forest River dealers will install a kit to remedy the water heater’s location, free of charge. The recall will begin Nov. 2.

Forest River also has recalled 60 of the 2018 Prime Time Tracer recreational trailers.

The federal placard on these vehicles may not list the correct tire pressure information of 65 Psi and 448 kPa.

Forest River dealers will provide corrected federal placards, free of charge. The recall will begin Oct. 27.

REV Recreation Group has recalled 37 of the 2018 Holiday Rambler Vesta and Fleetwood Jamboree motorhomes.

Wires within the generator junction box may have been improperly stripped before being connected.

REV dealers will properly strip and reconnect the junction box wires, free of charge. The recall will begin Sept. 29.
